New York Slide Show is a collection of photography by myself, Toby Thornton, an amateur photographer formerly based in Hoboken, New Jersey.

The majority of the photographs featured on this website were originally shot using either 35mm slide or print film, I have only recently (2006) switched to digital format. The images were produced by scanning the original slide or negative and then reducing the image for display on this website. Read more about the particular cameras and lenses used to shoot these photographs on our equipment page.

Recent additions include a Maine gallery from our Labor Day trip and a Western U.S. gallery containing photos of some amazing national parks such as Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon. The following Everglades gallery is the first project shot using a digital camera Everglades.

This site also includes photo collections from the north-eastern United States, where there are many beautiful state parks and great opportunities to shoot waterfalls and fall foliage.
